I am a sophmore. I was a freshman twice. I have ADHD (attention deficit hyperactive disorder). School is just not working out for me. I need help. My mom thinks I can just like, turn it off or something...She apparently doesn't get that it's a neurologic disorder. I have no meds, no counseling, and no behavior modifications. I'm supposed to figure everything out on my own. I want to graduate, I really do, but my teachers, my counselor, even MY OWN MOTHER, just think I'm lazy. I tell them how I can sit there for hours just thinking about moving, nevermind doing something productive. They really don't get it. I just don't know how to help myself, and nobody seems to want to help me. They all think I would if i wanted to, but if they only knew what it was like to have the teachers walk right by you at homework time, to the point where they don't even ask you if you have it, to the point where your friends make fun of you for trailing off in the middle of a sentence, to the point where you're trying to explain the disorder and you are told that it's bullshit to your face and you just want to cry. Whatever. I was diagnosed, as was my sister and father, and they are the only ones i know who can truly understand. My best friend understands, but there isn't much that she can do either. It's just, whatever. I keep telling you that doing the same thing clearly isn't working, but no one wants to listen. So fuck it.
